Genova: "Circumnavigando" in Porto Antico

"Circumnavigando", the International Festival of Theatre and Circus, is a cultural event born in 2001 in Genova. The design and organization since its inception belongs to the Cultural Sarabande.

Artistic director is Boris Vecchio. 

The event presents an annual program of international events and ranges from Contemporary Circus at the Teatro (Figure, street), with shows, meetings and exhibitions.

The Festival officially opens on December, 26th with a busy schedule of appointments and will end on January 8, 2017. 

The Circus Tent Circumnavivigando will be installed at the Old Port, Mandraccio area.

"Circumnavigando", organized by the Sarabande of Genoa, in the new edition confirms many collaborations on the national and international territory and lives with his shows of Contemporary Circus and Street Theatre Figure and the city streets (Piazza San Lorenzo, Porto Antico, Luzzati gardens;

In the palaces and historic sites (Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Tursi), in Theatres in Genoa and Camogli (dell'Archivolto Theatre, Theatre of the Cough, Teatro Gilberto Govi, Elsewhere Teatro della Maddalena, Teatro Sociale di Camogli).

This year festival will present some 38 shows during 14-day event from Santo Stefano the Epiphany with a central New Year celebration under the tent. 

All of it accompanied by meetings and insights open to the public and related to the world Contemporary Circus and Street Theatre.
